Ingredients

  • 907 grams ground beef
  • 120 grams breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 milliliters milk
  • 5 grams salt
  • 1 gram black pepper
  • 2 grams garlic powder
  • 2 grams onion powder
  • 15 milliliters Worcestershire sauce
  • 113 grams Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 8 slices beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 120 grams mushrooms, sliced
  • 75 grams onion, finely chopped
  • 60 milliliters ketchup
  • 15 milliliters soy sauce
  • 15 grams Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, and milk. Mix until loosely blended.
  3. Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until the spices are evenly distributed.
  4. Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and mix thoroughly.
  5. Gently fold in shredded Swiss cheese, crumbled beef bacon, sliced mushrooms, and finely chopped onion until everything is well blended.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and shape it into a uniform loaf.
  7. In a small bowl, stir together ketchup, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
  8. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the loaf.
  9. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 71°C.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes to keep the moisture.
  11. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freeze slices for up to 3 months.
