Description

Crispy spiral potatoes that are visually appealing and have a delightful crunch, perfect for parties or as a side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Russet potatoes (or Yukon Gold)
  • 2 metal or wooden skewers
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Insert the skewer through the potato and push the potato to the center of the skewer.
  2. Use a pairing knife to start cutting the potato from top to bottom in a 1/4-inch thick spiral.
  3. Working from the middle, slowly pull the spiral outwards so that it fills up the skewer.
  4. Deep-fry at 350°F for 4-5 minutes on each side or spray with oil and air-fry at 400°F for 18 minutes, flipping once in between.
  5. Immediately sprinkle on salt and pepper. Enjoy!

Notes

Best served hot with dips such as ketchup, ranch, or cheesy sauce. Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container and can be reheated in an air fryer or toaster oven for optimal crispiness.
