Description

A delicious low-carb dish that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger in a hearty casserole.


Ingredients

  • 450 g ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 115 g cream cheese
  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sugar-free ketchup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 60 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped pickles, to garnish (optional)
  • Sliced green onions or chopped parsley, to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Lightly grease a 20 x 20 cm baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the meat is no longer pink. If there’s excess fat, drain it off.
  3. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, heavy cream, mustard, sugar-free ketchup, eggs, and shredded cheddar until smooth.
  5. Pour the cheese mixture evenly over the beef layer in the dish.
  6. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon, mozzarella, and more cheddar cheese on top. Garnish with pickles and herbs if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Customize the cheese and add extra vegetables like tomatoes or bell peppers for additional flavor.
