- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 3.5 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce
- 2.5 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 3 cloves grated garlic
- 2 tablespoons neutral oil (e.g., avocado oil)
- Chopped green onion (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and grated garlic. Set aside.
- Pat chicken thighs dry. Season both sides with salt and pepper, then lightly dust with cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken skin side down and cook for 4 minutes per side, until golden and crispy. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove and set aside.
- Pour the sauce into the same pan, stir, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return chicken to the pan. Cook on high heat for 1 minute per side, coating with the sauce.
- Serve over rice with steamed vegetables. Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds if desired.
