Description
Easy and delicious sliders made with juicy beef and sweet Hawaiian rolls, perfect for parties or family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 pound lean ground beef (10% fat)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- 12 Hawaiian rolls (1 package)
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon soft butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare a baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil, spreading soft butter on the surface.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sauté chopped onions until golden brown (about 5-6 minutes). Add ground beef and cook until no pink remains. Drain excess grease and mix in mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Cut the rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Layer the bottom half with cheddar cheese, the beef mixture, and an additional layer of cheese. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the remaining butter, Dijon mustard, and brown sugar. Microwave for 25 seconds until melted. Brush the mixture over the rolls and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden. Cut into individual sliders and serve hot.
Notes
These sliders are best served hot from the oven with crispy fries or a light salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
