Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic (optional)
  • 1 pound large shrimp (defrosted, peeled and deveined, tails on)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup mild chili sauce
  • 34 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (like Tabasco)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a large bowl of ice water and set it aside.
  2. Bring a medium pot of water to a boil and add the salt and optional seasonings.
  3. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until cooked through. Immediately drain and plunge into the bowl of ice water.
  4. In a small bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients and mix well to blend the flavors.
  5. Drain the shrimp and serve with the sauce. Enjoy your delicious shrimp cocktail!

Notes
