Description

Delicious and easy Cowboy Butter Chicken Bites with a flavorful buttery marinade and a spicy Cajun dipping sauce, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 680 grams boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 120 milliliters unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 15 milliliters fresh lemon juice
  • 5 milliliters smoked paprika
  • 5 milliliters Cajun seasoning
  • 2.5 milliliters crushed red pepper flakes, optional
  • 2.5 milliliters salt
  • 1.25 milliliters ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • 120 milliliters mayonnaise
  • 60 milliliters sour cream
  • 15 milliliters Cajun seasoning
  • 5 milliliters garlic powder
  • 2.5 milliliters smoked paprika
  • 5 milliliters fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until the marinade is well blended.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated evenly. Let stand for a minimum of 15 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange the marinated chicken bites in a single layer. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until the dipping sauce is smooth and homogeneous.
  5. Arrange the hot chicken bites on a serving platter. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve alongside the Cajun creamy dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave until heated through.
