Description

Nothing beats the comforting taste of a perfectly baked potato. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, it’s a deliciously satisfying dish perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 large Russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon oil (or bacon grease)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Scrub the potatoes under tap water and dry thoroughly.
  3. Grease the outside of the potatoes with bacon grease (or olive oil). Rub them with salt.
  4. Poke 5-6 holes around each potato using a fork or toothpick.
  5. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for 60 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow them to rest for 10 minutes. Increase the oven temperature to 450°F.
  7. Brush the potatoes with another layer of oil and salt. Return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes OR air-fry at 400°F for 5 minutes.
  8. Enjoy as is or add your favorite toppings!

Notes

Choose uniform-sized potatoes for even cooking. Puncturing prevents bursting, and baking directly on the rack increases crispiness. Toppings can personalize each potato experience.
